The American Civil War has a supernatural side to it. Many of the battlefields where brother fought brother are haunted to this very day. The bloody Battle of Shiloh was so awful that it is said the creek ran red with blood and the losses were so high for the Confederate forces that no one in the south smiled for a year. Ghosts were reported here weeks after the fighting. The reports of ghosts are what inspired the robes used by the Ku Klux Klan in the believe they would frighten and intimidate the newly freed blacks. Many other places have ghosts. Gettysburg is a hot bed of sightings as is Vicksburg and Stone Mountain and Bull Run. Even Fort Sumter has her share of ghosts. Lincoln has seances in the Red Room of the White House (to please his wife, most believe) and his assassination has many psychic links to it. If you are looking for ghosts, battlefields of the Civil War would be a good place to start.
